Stadega® blend Ni SeqFlow

Tin-nickel coating for maximum durability

With Stadega® blend Ni SeqFlow, we offer an innovative electroplating process that combines the advantages of a tin-nickel alloy with the strengths of a chemical nickel base. The result is an extremely durable, long-lasting and visually appealing coating that meets both decorative and functional requirements.

The anthracite-coloured surface impresses with its low reflectivity, high durability and excellent electrical properties – making it ideal for modern industrial applications.

Decorative Applications

The elegant, anthracite-coloured finish of Stadega® blend Ni SeqFlow offers a high-quality alternative to traditional decorative coatings such as chrome. Its low reflectivity creates a modern, exclusive appearance, making it particularly suitable for demanding design applications.

The tin-nickel coating also impresses with its high resistance to environmental influences and its consistently uniform and stable colour appearance over time.

Typical decorative applications:

  • Panels
  • Visible parts in the automotive industry
  • Components for pool and wellness applications
  • Optical components

Functional applications

In addition to its visual appeal, Stadega® blend Ni SeqFlow offers outstanding functional properties. The combination of electroless nickel and tin–nickel ensures excellent corrosion protection, high chemical resistance, and reliable electrical conductivity.

The coating is ideally suited for components used in demanding environments that require consistently stable electrical performance.

Typical functional applications:

  • Sensor sleeves
  • Electrical contacts
  • Applications in corrosive environments
  • Conductive coatings in the chemical industry
  • Replacement for nickel in technical applications

Insights into the coating structure of the process

The Stadega® blend Ni SeqFlow process is based on a multi-layer structure that specifically combines the advantages of various coating technologies.

Stadega® blend Ni SeqFlow – Tin-nickel on brass and aluminium substrates

The base material is either aluminium or brass. For aluminium, a zincate layer is applied first, while brass receives a cyanide copper layer as the initial coating. In both cases, this is followed by an electroless nickel layer, which ensures uniform coating distribution—particularly on complex geometries—and provides excellent corrosion protection. Finally, a tin–nickel topcoat is applied, adding both functional and decorative properties.
