Increased Capacity for the Production of Precious Metal Compounds

The continuously growing demand for our precious metal compounds has pushed certain areas of IWG’s chemical production to their capacity limits. With a new, modern reaction system, we are now increasing our production throughput while simultaneously improving occupational safety and process efficiency.

New Reaction System for Chemical Production

At the heart of the installation is a 30-litre double-walled glass reactor. It enables the controlled addition of solids and liquids, as well as reactions under precisely controlled stirring, heating and cooling conditions.

Thanks to its resistant materials, the system is also suitable for handling highly aggressive acids. Even dissolution processes involving aqua regia can be carried out under controlled conditions. The design avoids the need for open handling of concentrated fuming acids.

Improved Safety and Efficiency

Multi-step reactions can, in some cases, be carried out directly within the reactor system without requiring the transfer of liquids to additional equipment.

For the separation of solids, the reaction solution can be transferred via a permanently installed connection to a temperature-controlled filter nutsche. This eliminates the need for open handling of precious metal solutions, which not only improves occupational safety but also increases process efficiency.
